My compassion, vision and relentless enthusiasm to make a difference in lives of people. By restoring positive family functioning through counselling, community resources and interventions, families and individual can realize their own solutions and make good choices and decisions. • As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (MA, RCC, CCPA) I am trained to engage in youth, couples and family counselling in a cross-cultural school setting. I am accredited to work with student, youth, families and the general communities. • In association and consultant with the Movember Grant on Stigma and Mental Health I collaborated with Dr. Morrow consulted and provided clinical support and education to colleagues. Participates in case conferences, team meetings, continuing education, and/or corporate initiatives and engages in on-going team planning, development, evaluation and quality improvement activities reducing mental stigma in school and the community • 7 years of counselling and 10 years of teaching and advocacy for life-long mental well-being and educational experiences of youths with the Vancouver School Board and families who have issues with drugs and alcohol. • PUBLICATIONS Books: Lal, R.(2021) Emerging from the Shadows: Racialized Students’ Mental Health.
