About Rodrigo Concha

A passionate Clinical Educator combining my background in education and CVICU / Critical care to train over 100+ organ transplant surgical teams across the globe in how best to use Transmedics’ Organ Care System (OCS) technology. I am a team-oriented professional with well over 10 years leading and developing efficient and high impact clinical training for medical device users and clinical specialists both in classroom and virtually. As a senior lead specialist, I've managed clinical cases, in the field and remotely, while guiding the end user. As an OCS-Heart program clinical lead, I've supervised and mentor surgeons, ancillary staff and clinical specialists. In collaboration with sales, I am capable of tailoring training and presentations to individual team needs. I am certified in all three OCS platforms: heart, lung and liver and have been consistently involved in clinical trials and site start up and implementation in the US and Europe since 2010. OCS is the only portable, CE marked and FDA approved normothermic medical device designed to preserve transplant organs (hearts, lungs and livers) perfused outside the body in a near-physiological state. Some of my other duties involved being in charge of starting up activities and providing consostent clinical support for all clinical teams nation wide as part of the NOP (National OCS Program) as well as the outside the U.S. transplant centers.
