I am an Agronomy Engineer with a strong academic background and solid professional experience in Crop Protection, Integrated Pest Management, and applied entomology.I earned my B.S. in Agronomy Engineering from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV), Brazil, followed by an M.Sc. in Plant Science and a Ph.D. in Entomology from the same institution. During my doctoral studies, I completed a sandwich period at the University of New England (UNE), Australia, within the School of Environmental and Rural Sciences, expanding my international research experience and perspective. My academic and professional work has focused on Integrated Pest Management, ecotoxicology, environmental impacts of cropping systems, determinants of pest outbreaks, decision-making systems for pest control, pest management in organic production systems, urban pest management, modeling approaches, and the effects of climate change on species distribution.I currently hold the role of Crop Protection Coordinator at SLC Agrícola, where I work at the interface between science and field application, supporting sustainable, efficient, and data-driven pest management strategies at a large-scale agricultural production level.I am motivated by challenges that require technical rigor, strategic thinking, and collaboration, and I value practical solutions grounded in sound science and continuous learning.
