Kucheza develops programmes and tools that enable smallholder farmers in developing countries to move from (semi) subsistence-oriented farming to increasingly commercial farming. Kucheza trains farmers on agronomics, business management, and cooperative entrepreneurship, and allows them to develop an entrepreneurial mind-set. Central to the Kucheza approach is playful learning through digital games. As they mimic real-life farming business situations and challenges, games are very powerful training tools. At the same time, games are relatively easy to scale in terms of content and number of players.
