Ever since I updated the OS on our household PC from Windows to Windows XP with the age of 6, I knew that PC's and software were something I am very passionate about. As that 6 year old kid, I could spend hours a day on that PC to see what it was capable of. About 19 years later, I was able to make a job out of that same passion. For my most recent job I was a Technical Consultant at Visma | ProActive, where I filled the gap between the Consultancy/Support/Sales teams and the Developer teams. Within this role, I fixed alot of the more technical problems for both colleagues and customers. These problems ranged anywhere from setting up Single Sign On to creating (S)FTP servers, creating PHP/Python scripts to automate certain client-related processes, but also things like database management and creating queries (and sometimes script these using PHP) which output could be used for data analysis. But besides the more technical tasks, I was also in constantly in contact with both client and colleague. My first task at Visma | ProActive was to coördinate and plan the migration from a physical server to a cloud-based server for every invidiual client. For every client environment I had to check if the client went through the necessary steps on their site, discuss a date and time to plan the migration with the client, reserve that date and time, and communicate the date and time to the development team that eventually processed the migration. As a rookie, it was a difficult task that required a lot of proactive, and quick handling, but eventually we were able to migrate 100% of the customers to the cloud-based server within a reasonable time. I'm a motivated, quick-learning and social person with a definite affinity for everything that has to do with IT, software and hardware. And I've already gathered a lot of experience in multiple aspects of the IT-world. From data engineering/data science to data analysis, from software engineering to helpdesk related tasks, almost every aspect I had the pleasure to experience.
