Responsible for the development and construction of capital-intensive, projects in a complex stakeholder environment. • The construction of a heat peak- and back-up plant in Leiden (warmtecentrale 'de Sleutel')(2025-present). • The development and construction of Bio-methane production plants (2025-present). • The development and construction of a 150 MWth Electric boiler at the Vattenfall site in Diemen next to a Vattenfall CHP-plant (2021-present). • The development and construction of a coupling between the two main district heating grids in Amsterdam including an Heat Only Boiler and a Heat Buffer as peak and back-up facility (2017-2021). • The realization of a Strategic Development Plan dealing with the expansion (until 2040) of district heating in Amsterdam (2016-2017). • The development of the phased conversion of the coal-fired power plant Hemweg 08 to biomass (2010-2016). • The conversion of the coal-fired power plant Moabit (Berlin) to biomass; responsible for the civil part of the project, from the moment it became clear, that the planning could not be met (2013-early 2014). • Auditing of the whole project portfolio of Heat Projects to check the status of the implementation of safety in design; also recommendations for improvement have been given (2013). • The conversion of the coal gasifier Buggenum to biomass until it became clear that the plant would be closed (2010-2012). • The development of gas-fired power plants (CCGT’s) in Germany (2008-2010). • Close attention to internal and external stakeholder management, risk management, contract management, planning and budget control.
