About Roel Toonen

I am flexible and curious. Give me something new and exciting, and I will commit myself. Having done many new and exciting things in my still short career I do have a broad background in water and related fields. I have experience in GIS mapping, reporting and project management on multiple projects related to drinking water, sanitation & hygiene, hydro-geological investigations, monitoring & Evaluation, mobile data collection, project acquisition, proposal writing and water supply system design. Being curious in nature I will always find something new about the things I think I know a lot about. I keep learning. I am adept at combining knowledge and experience on water management with Information technologies. I have gained international water supply and sanitation experience in Uganda and South Sudan. During the study International Water Management (BA Sc), focused on project based output, gained experience in groundwater assessments, Irrigation management, cross boundary socio-economic relations with water Sanitation and hygiene and cross continental project based working/management. During my studies I gained international experience during internships in Portugal, Suriname and Mozambique. I am eager to start a new challenge in the development sector.
