Rogelio Braga

Background

About Rogelio Braga

I have a decade of experience working with refugees, asylum seekers, internally displaced people, and migrants with various migration statuses in England, Northern Thailand, and the Southern Philippines. I have extensive experience in community organising, managing small and large-scale community projects that provide services to people with vulnerable migration status, fundraising and funder relations management, campaigns and advocacy work on migrant rights and protection. Since 2022, I actively volunteered as a facilitator for various migrant-led organisations such as Migrant Voice, Southeast and East Asian Community Centre, Filipino Domestic Workers Association, and Freedom from Torture. I have a solid grasp and understanding of the UK’s asylum and refugee infrastructure, related legislations, issues, politics, and directions from my lived experience as an asylum seeker, refugee, and academic.
