Professional Experience Cubic Applications, Ft Irwin, CA 2006 until present Battle Major/Military Analyst /Team Lead Responsibilities: Assists the Commander of Operations Group, Operations Group Observer Controller teams and other assigned subject matter experts, in the training and preparation of the War fighter by replicating the functions and responsibilities of a Battle Major assigned to a Division Tactical Operations Center (DTOC). Responsible for supervising Assistant Battle Captain in all aspects of the DTOC operations. Operates digital Radio Control Station (RCS) Communicates with the training unit’s headquarters replicating a higher headquarters and assist Operations Group with exercise control. Proficient in the use of the Army Battle Command Systems (ABCS), primarily the Command Post of the Future (CPOF) and the Maneuver Control System (MCS). Processes requests for information (RFI’s), maintain direct coordination with the training unit’s Liaison Officer (LNO), ensure that significant activity reports are posted in accordance with the G3’s guidance on both the HICON and EXCON maps within the ABCS. Integrates blue feed, BDE graphics and BDE SIGACT’s into a HICON picture for a comparison between what the BDE sees and a true EXCON picture of the battle field. Observes and analyzes in real time and from stored exercise data the events that occur during simulated combat operations, makes judgments concerning the adequacy and soundness of tactical command, control and maneuver. Ensures combat systems are correctly replicated, instrumented and portrayed. Collects battle data to provide situational awareness to the Observer Controllers and to support the AAR process. Provides battle and safety control. Simulates the senior headquarters for the maneuver BDE and provides technical and tactical expertise for scenario development to include development, updating and briefing the scenario.
