About Roger Crosley

As a freelance collegiate communications professional I am available to assist in most game management activities. I have worked at numerous colleges in New England and New York State. I have assisted at other athletic events including the Ryder Cup, the Major indoor Lacrosse League, the NCAA Man's Basketball Tournament, and the Army-Navy football game. This September I will be a statistician for the World Box Lacrosse Championship held in Utica, NY. I am currently employed by Colgate University on an ad hoc basis as it's lead sports statistician for football, basketball and lacrosse and I am a contributor to the Colgate athletic website. Prior to my retirement I had four different careers in my life beginning as an on-air talent in radio, moving on to teaching, switching to collegiate athletic administration and most recently retiring from the financial services industry. In every position I have ever had (including full-time, part-time and volunteer positions), my goal is to have left the organization in a better situation than it was before I arrived. In each of my careers, I have learned that competence, hard work, dedication and loyalty can take you far. I have also learned, more importantly, that those attributes in and of themselves cannot guarantee you success. Respecting authority, being a team player and flexibility are of equal importance. I have been fortunate to lead organizations, teach and train others, and excel in customer service roles. I have also been fortunate to have received a number of awards and accolades for the work I have done. While those accolades are appreciated, my greatest satisfaction comes from doing a job well and helping people.
