About Roger Knight

I am an accomplished Senior Maintenance Manager with 30 years of experience in root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and predictive and preventative maintenance program implementation in an FDA and NRC regulated nuclear pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. I’m adept at planning, executing and managing maintenance activities with a focus on asset reliability and compliance with industry standards and regulations while minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. I have implemented sustainable systems in spare parts inventory, computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), calibration programs, and asset life cycle management. I converted legacy spare parts inventory from paper to electronic. I thrive on the challenge of keeping complex production processes running efficiently, finding innovative solutions to unexpected problems, and fostering a culture of safety. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with and learn from skilled professionals in a dynamic, ever-changing industry, and I enjoy knowing that the products we produce improve people's lives. I was proud to be selected as Interim Global Maintenance Excellence Lead facilitating company-wide initiatives targeting improved maintenance processes and increased asset reliability. In order to develop a new skillset a effectively communicate with my fabrication team, I purchased a desktop CNC, a laser engraver, and a 3D printer for my personal shop to better understand the process of design, programming, and final product. My next career goal is to be at the Director level. I am looking forward to continuing to develop leadership skills and mentor the next generation of maintenance professionals. I am ready to take on more responsibilities including sustainability practices that will optimize performance of the facilities and reduce environmental impact. On a personal note, I enjoy spending time with family, flying drones and UAVs, wood working, home remodeling, and home automation control.
