I am a specialist in FP & A (Financial Planning and Analysis) with over 27 years of experience in Data Analytics, Financial Planning, and Business Optimization. My focus is on increasing financial efficiencies within the Mid-Market and Enterprises or organisations with demanding FP & A requirements. My career has been marked by a series of successful projects and leadership roles in Manufacturing and Financial Services. I have demonstrated my capability to drive results, empower finance professionals with leading FP & A solutions, and deliver value by using the same tools to realize quantifiable financial benefits in optimisation or turnaround programs. In recent years, I have become passionate about solving the YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT CRISIS and passing on FP & A skills to the unemployed or aspiring youth of South Africa. I’ve designed blended learning programs and internships that are practical, fun, and successful, with an average absorption rate of over 95%. My ideal engagement is to be involved in transforming legacy systems with modern FP & A technology and building the next generation of Financial and Data Professionals using AI wherever possible. My Background: With over 28 years of business experience, I have worked as a Financial Controller, FP & A Leader, Business Performance Professional, Data Analytics Coach, and Entrepreneur (in my own business). I host the $mart Business Performance Podcast. I'm also involved in feeding and educating underprivileged kids in Soweto through an NPO I co-founded called Gogo’s Legacy. For fun, and when I really let my hair down, I play keyboards for a cover band called the Bald & The Beautiful. The band didn’t appoint me for either my great musical skills or my beauty.
