I am the President of O’Brien Associates, LLC, a distinguished management consulting firm established in With offices located in New York and Florida, we specialize in providing comprehensive advisory, implementation and leadership coaching to a diverse range of competitive industries. I hold a BS degree in Nuclear Engineering from New York University and an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, after which I embarked on a career path across many different industries. One of my significant career milestones includes tenure as Chief Operating Officer at Ultralife Batteries, Inc, where I played a pivotal role in orchestrating a successful turnaround for the publicly-held manufacturer of advanced battery power sources. Additionally, I served as Chief Executive Officer and a major shareholder of Holotek Ltd, a prominent optical technology company in the field of laser imaging systems with sales worldwide. Under my leadership, Holotek achieved remarkable growth and was ultimately acquired by an OEM customer in 1996. Beyond corporate roles, I have been frequently engaged in the high-tech sector, notably as an early officer of Sun Microsystems, Inc. during a period of significant growth, where we grew Sun Microsystems’ revenue from $500 million to $2 billion within a span of 24 months. My career includes management contributions to the automotive industry, where I served as Chief Financial Officer for a $750 million unit of Tenneco Automotive. My team spearheaded initiatives that led to a 75% increase in profits over a four-year period, through market share growth and aggressive cost-reduction programs. Previously, I held financial management positions at Xerox Corp and in the venture capital sector of Exxon Corp. In addition to my corporate work, I am deeply committed to academia and community service. I currently serve as an adjunct professor at Rochester Institute of Technology, where I share my knowledge and expertise with aspiring business leaders. I have been actively involved as a member of the Board of Directors of 22nd Century Group (Nasdaq: xxii) and as an advisory board member of Bristol-ID Technologies and MacArthur Beach Park in Palm Beach, Florida. I am an avid tennis player and a veteran of the US Army.
