About Roger Rainaldi

My name is Roger Rainaldi and I am an incoming Graduate student in The Peter J. Tobin College of Business here at St. John's University. I am a finance major and apart of the 5-year fast track program which will lead me to attaining my Masters degree in Finance in May of 2024. Here at St. John's, I am apart of the Applied Finance Fellows Program and have received my Business Market Concepts certification through Bloomberg. Throughout my years at university, I have further developed my quantitative, financial, and interpersonal skills to a great extent. All of these in which I am prepared to take with me and use proficiently after graduating. I am very interested in the world of financial markets, trading, and analysis. Other things that pique my interests are private wealth management, corporate finance, and market analysis. I would say some of my career aspirations as of now, is to get my foot in the door and eventually become a corporate controller and then move up into a CFO position. These of course are very ambitious goals but that is all apart of the fun and I am of course, more than willing to work my way up the ladder after I graduate with my BS & MS in Finance in the 2024 spring season. I currently am employed as a Financial Compliance Intern at CLSA Americas, LLC for the 2023 summer. Being apart of this Corporation allows me to be exposed to a vast number of different challenges & tasks that put my skills and knowledge to the test. Beyond this, I have had a wide variety of different work experiences throughout my years leading up to attending University that have allowed me to figure out how to handle a large amount of varying situations proficiently and efficiently. I have worked in the village recycling yard dealing with customers and in the summers, I worked as a camp counselor which allowed me to take on a leader/mentor role. I also worked for a small start-up composting company for awhile based in my local area. All of these jobs lead me to attaining new skillsets which will ultimately allow me to become more efficient in multiple work areas. Through the many skills that I have obtained and further strengthened during my employment experiences, I feel more than comfortable with that fact that I can proficiently use them in an entirely fresh and new work environment and do nothing but positively impact those around me and companies as a whole.
