About Roger Schrum

Roger has more than 35 years of business communications management experience for five Fortune 500 packaging and energy companies. He currently serves as Interim Head of Investor Relations and Communications for Sonoco Products Company (NYSE: SON), a $8 billion-revenue global leader of high-valued sustainable metal and fiber consumer and industrial packaging. Roger returned to Sonoco in 2025 after retiring as Vice President of Investor Relations and Corporate Affairs for Sonoco where he was responsible for the Company’s investor relations, marketing communications, public relations, public affairs and philanthropic activities, reporting to the Company's President and CEO. Prior to returning to Sonoco, Roger was Senior Advisor for Avid Pursuit LLC, a Columbia-based brand, web and digital marketing and real estate holding company. Before joining Sonoco in 2005, Roger was Vice President of Human Resources and Communications for NorthWestern Corporation (NYSE: NWE) from 2001. He also served as General Manager of Marketing Communications and Public Affairs for SCANA Corporation (prior to its acquisition by Dominion Energy, Inc.) from 1993; Director of External Communications for Ashland, Inc.(NYSE: ASH) from 1987; and Manager of Financial Communications for Diamond Shamrock Corporation (prior to its acquisition by Valero Corporation) from 1980. Roger started his career as a business journalist and was Business Editor of the Amarillo (Texas) Globe-News and a writer for the Pittsburg (Kansas) Morning Sun. Mr. Schrum holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Education from Pittsburg (Kansas) State University and attended the Executive Development Program at Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
