About Roger Uceda

I’m driven by a simple idea: innovation only matters when it becomes real. Throughout my career, I’ve turned ideas into tangible results, connecting research, technology, and industry to make transformation happen. I’m an Industrial Engineer and hold a Master’s in Production Management from UPC, as well as a Program for Management Development (PMD) from ESADE Business School, which strengthened my leadership and strategic management skills. I began my journey in the automotive sector, learning the power of process efficiency and precision. In 2005, I joined CIM UPC, where I spent more than 15 years bridging advanced manufacturing research with industrial application. Leading the Transfer and Valorization Unit, I focused on turning technology into impact, guiding teams and companies toward innovation that lasts. In 2012, I founded BCN3D Technologies, one of Europe’s leading 3D printing startups, which grew from a university lab to a global reference in additive manufacturing. Later, I co-founded Supernova Technologies, created to bring to market a breakthrough in photopolymer 3D printing. Today, as CEO of Aridditive, I lead a deep-tech company redefining how we build. We use 3D printing to reduce CO₂ emissions and give architects new freedom to design the spaces of the future: sustainable, efficient, and expressive. I’m passionate about turning vision into execution, building bridges between innovation and industry, and empowering teams to make meaningful change happen.
