Prior accomplishments I found interesting and enjoyable, looking for another: Business Process Improvement I was contracted to turn-around an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution implementation for a mid-size semi-conductor company. Scope included Customer Relationship Management, Finance and Manufacturing. I recommended to executive leadership that all business processes need to be re-engineered to ensure ERP implementation success. Rationale for re-engineering was due to the corporations’ acquisition of several competing companies complicating operational efficiency. Recommendation was accepted and re-engineering was performed and completed. The ERP solution was subsequently implemented across the corporation successfully. Consolidations I was contracted to consolidate disparate manufacturing support software across four manufacturing divisions. After analyzing the situation, my recommendation / approach was accepted and all manufacturing operations were successfully modified to operate from a single version of software. In addition to reducing information technology costs by eliminating three redundant local IT operations, operational efficiencies were realized to allow the elimination one physical manufacturing facility. Troubled Programs Turn-Around I was requested by my executive leadership to perform a program review of a failing $20M initiative and make a recommendation to bring the program back on track. After submitting the results of the program review, I was again requested by executive leadership to assume responsibility over the programs’ completion. The initiative was completed with high customer satisfaction, even though it was impossible to recover the schedule delays and budgetary over-runs. From an initial client discussion starting with threatened litigation, the end result was client approval for a $13M Phase 2 of the initiative.
