Past: Started in 1993 in the Ivermectine factory of MSD where I focused on sterile operations. Moved on to Pharmaceutical Technical Operations were I kept supporting the Ivermectine factory with updating the production documentation, reviewing batch records, problem solving and the introduction of a new product. Spend six months at planning as database coordinator. In this role I was responsible for the Bills of Material and artwork for a few Animal Health products. Changed "sides" by transferring to Quality Assurance. At the time there were many changes in QA. From a task orientated organization we changed into a product orientated team. The tasks list included approval of material masters and BOMs, maintaining LIMS, providing answers for regulatory affairs and agencies. This period was marked with continues improvement of our way of working and by that reducing the risk for the company Present: As I missed the reality of the work floor, which performance is impacting the customer directly, I took responsibility for the Warehouse system. The work boils down to stabilizing the system, improving it's performance, customize it to the changing business needs and preparing it to work with SAP. In 2007 I spend a summer in the US as part of Quality Validation and Control to experience an SAP implemtantion at first hand. I was part of the local market team for the SAP implementation in Haarlem as data super user for Material Handling. On May 02 2011 we had a successful go-life. As the warehouse related work is a lot less I took over the support of all MMD IT supported local applications and work closely together with our off shore partners to keep everything up and running. Future: I am searching for opportunities which combine cost reductions in IT with added value for the customer. In my vision this can be done by implementing global solutions, using existing solutions in the region and find solutions for common challenges together.
