Background

About Rohan Chawla

Communication and interaction are my main areas of focus. I have technical skills from my software and IT roles over working at Veolia and NetApp, with some technical teaching experience as well, but I really shine at interacting with people, whether that's my team or end users. I am at my best when teaching technical skills to someone who needs them but hasn't seen this before, and when I can use my computer skill to provide context for those who need help making things happen. I'm a software developer and tester; I focused on software development at the University of Wyoming, wrote test automation at Veolia, and blended the two roles in my time at NetApp. While automating software tests at Veolia, I focused on learning Python. My previous experience was in C++ and Java. While at Veolia, I mentored newcomers to GitHub.I'm open to learning new skills, and I pick them up very quickly, onboarding onto new teams easily. I'm also a strong communicator, comfortable translating projects to non-specialists, and making sure exchanges of information are clear.Currently located in Denver, CO; I am moving to Middletown, CT in the second week of August 2025.
