About Rohan Gogoi

I am a recent UC Santa Barbara graduate who aspires to one day become a healthcare professional. My passion for healthcare stems from my love for both science and service, two fields I have pushed myself to excel in by continuously pursuing opportunities that expand my knowledge and abilities. While at UCSB I worked as an undergraduate researcher under Professor Samir Mitragotri studying nanoparticles and drug delivery. My time in the lab not only taught me a wide variety of research techniques but also how to apply the scientific method to the way I thought, a tool that has served me well in all aspects of my life ever since. After graduation, I served with City Year, a branch of Americorps that specializes in supporting the educational needs of underserved schools. In addition to learning what it meant to serve an underserved community, the experience taught me leadership, communication, and teamwork as well. Now I hope to apply these talents and skills to the field of healthcare, where my passions of science and service and be combined.
