Brigadier (Retd) Rohan Jayasinghe USP LOM FCPM psc Brigadier Rohan has had an exceptional career in the Sri Lanka Army where he served the country for 28 years and held many vital appointments in operations, training and in the staff. He was handpicked to be the first Chief Instructor of the Army Command and Staff College which eventually became the Defence Services Command and Staff College. He also functioned as the Chief Instructor of the Sri Lanka Military Academy. He was appointed Director Armour and commanded the Armoured Brigade that was deployed across the North and the East of the country. He was the country’s first Defense, Military, Naval and Air Attaché in Washington DC from 2003 to 2005 and is the recipient of one of the highest medals in the US military - The Legion of Merit. He is a graduate of the Malaysian Armed Forces Command and Staff College and is also a Fellow of the Certified Professional Managers. He retired prematurely as a Brigadier in 2006. Rohan has just concluded his contract as the Human Resources Consultant at Citizen's Development Business Finance PLC. Prior to taking up this appointment, he was the Consultant in Human Resources at Sri Lanka Institute of Nano Technology for over 4 years. He served the financial arm of John Keells Holdings - Union Assurance PLC for 07 years as General Manager Human Resources in the capacity of a Vice President in the JKH group. Prior to joining Union Assurance PLC, He was the Executive Group Director (Human Resources) at The Capital Maharaja Organisation Limited.
