About Rohan Stevenson

I'm a multidisciplinary researcher and writer from London based in Helsinki, Finland. Currently, I am completing a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions-funded doctoral degree in Political, Societal & Regional Changes. My research explores the ways in which Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) policies in Europe problematise 'right-wing extremism', drawing on perspectives from Critical Terrorism Studies and Critical Race Theory. My academic background is in human geography and sociology and my research interests are broad-ranging. Previously, I have researched 'eco-fascist' Telegram groups, the 'hyperpop' music scene, discourses of safety in gentrification processes, and platform capitalism. I specialise in qualitative research methods, namely; post-structuralist policy analysis, critical discourse analysis and participant observation.
