About Rohan Thacker

I am a Production Associate at The Electromac Group Inc, where I handle multiple tasks such as laser cutting, press operation, and rework for a well-functioning of production process. I am also a Master of Engineering candidate in Industrial Engineering at the University of Windsor, with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from Manipal University Jaipur. My core competencies include process improvement, manufacturing processes, and assembly processes. In my current role, I have assisted in reducing the rework of parts made in press operation with a proactive mindset towards continuous improvement and reducing unplanned downtime and operating cost. I have also utilized various techniques, such as visual inspections, measurements, and sampling, to ensure consistent product quality. I have worked as a team player to ensure a smooth production flow of raw materials and finished goods on the production floor by effectively communicating with operations and maintenance teams. In my previous internship at Eimco Elecon India Limited, I had in-depth practical exposure to a project that involved the analysis of throughput time for the production of AL-120 series loaders and the application of various techniques to reduce it. I implemented KAIZEN principles effectively for workplace optimization, conducted root cause analysis and applied 5S technique for better inventory management, and suggested key improvements to significantly reduce throughput time. I am motivated by the challenge of solving complex problems and improving efficiency and quality in the manufacturing sector. I am eager to learn from and contribute to a diverse and innovative team that shares my passion for industrial engineering.
