Thrilled to witness such intense focus on Digital services & AI. A Legend once said,"Data is the Next Oil!" Closely associated with the Telecom-ISP domain right from the 64kbps DATA transmission days to the Gbps days. Each Passing day, we witness the Fast changing user expectations, be it the Enterprise segment, Voice or Video streaming services. And it's just the Beginning, with OTT & AI accelerating their reach. The SCOPE is huge for the Last Mile service providers, they may be the Large Telcos or the small & medium ISPs, they have large greenfields to cover. In the last 20 yrs, Last mile Layer 1 & Layer 2 Technologies have evolved to cater to the high throughput & zero latency demand of consumers. Data Centers are mushrooming like never before to face the demand. Backhaul Network Transmissions are being upgraded to cater high demand. Technologies like SDN (Software-Defined Networking) and NFV (Network Functions Virtualization) are expected to play a significant role in making the network more flexible, efficient, and scalable. Each home is now being fiberized with robust GPON or PON technologies. Airfiber & LEO Satellite Connectivity (starlink) too are coming into the fray. Since Past 20 yrs I have been part of this transition journey from Copper to Fiber and now to a hybrid Model of Satellites, Fiber & Copper.And this would be a never ending expedition.
