About Rohit Rangari

About Me I am a Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist with over 11 years of experience in optimizing costs, improving efficiency, and delivering value across large-scale infrastructure and environmental projects. Currently, I serve as Deputy Manager - Purchase at SMS LIMITED, where I manage procurement operations for multi-million-dollar EPC projects in civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation domains. My work is driven by two principles:"Price is what you pay; value is what you get.""Efficiency is doing things right; effectiveness is doing the right things." I have successfully reduced procurement costs through strategic vendor development, implemented innovative purchase-to-store SOPs, and enhanced operations with SAP and ERP systems. My expertise includes vendor management, import-export operations, cost reduction, and inventory optimization. Throughout my career, I’ve developed strong negotiation skills and a results-oriented approach, earning a reputation for fostering collaboration and delivering on high-value projects. Some of the key projects I’ve contributed to include the 5 MLD CETP Butibori and STP Raipur initiatives. In addition to my professional achievements, I am currently pursuing a PGDM in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from MIT Pune to stay ahead in the evolving field of supply chain optimization. I enjoy connecting with professionals and exchanging ideas that inspire innovation and drive progress. Let’s connect to explore opportunities and share insights in procurement, supply chain, and operational excellence!
