About Rohit Tularam

I’m a front-end projects lawyer in the Projects and Energy Transition team at Ashurst LLP (Abu Dhabi), where I advise on complex infrastructure and energy transactions across the renewables, utilities, and broader infrastructure sectors. My experience spans the full project life cycle, including advising both procurers and sponsor consortiums on drafting and negotiating project agreements, EPC and O&M contracts, and delivering due diligence on major public infrastructure developments.Alongside my legal practice, I also serve as President of the YP Club (Abu Dhabi), a fast-growing private members' network for emerging leaders across the GCC. In this role, I lead strategy, member engagement, and partnerships, helping shape one of the most dynamic and diverse professional communities in the region. Before transitioning into law, I spent nearly 10 years as an operational police officer with the Queensland Police Service, where I was recognised with several recommendations for awards, including for bravery. During that time, I also taught as a guest lecturer and tutor in criminal law at the Australian Catholic University.Outside the office, I’m a passionate football coach and hold an FFA ‘C’ License. I’ve coached within the Brisbane Boys College Football Academy, working with talented young athletes and contributing to their development on and off the field.
