PI of CarbonFOX (CarbonFOX.climate.columbia.edu)- an unsuccessful satellite proposal. Currently measuring ambient CO2, methane, ethane, carbon monoxide (CO) and nitrous oxide (N2O) around New York City (NYAAQ: nyaaq.ldeo.columbia.edu) to understand what is driving anthropogenic emissions in this megacity and how these emissions are linked with air quality. The co-emission of air pollutants and CO2 during fossil fuel combustion is often overlooked in climate discussions.
