I am a problem solver. My best days at work present an unexpected challenge because the fun is in finding a win-win solution. When given the opportunity to manage a team of highly-skilled translators I implemented industry-specific software and introduced streamlining processes that minimized errors and alleviated heavy workloads and stress levels without compromising quality.One of the projects I’m most proud of is the 2014 corporate rebranding project at MD Financial Management (formerly MD Physician Services). In addition to my daily workload, which increased exponentially with this large-scale project, I was given multiple project streams to lead. One of those streams was forms rebranding - hundreds of forms needed to be updated in time for launch. It was reassigned to me because it was falling behind and in danger of not being completed on time. By identifying roadblocks and finding streamlining solutions I not only made up for the time lost but was able to deliver every single form in time for launch.I love the challenge of providing a great client experience. Over the last ten years I have been the administrator and advocate for Marketing Central, an online project management and collaboration tool for marketing departments. I not only ensured the tool was used efficiently by defining processes and best practices, I also had to train new users and provide on-going instruction to existing team members. Successful adaptation meant I had to convert a wide range of users into enthusiasts, which I achieved through traditional training methods (hosting training sessions and developing best practice guides) and fostering a spirit of collaboration to work toward a common goal. My enthusiasm for the tool, patience and willingness to work closely with users resulted in successful implementation and adaptation.When not working I can be found on a snowshoe trail in winter, relaxing at the family cottage in summer and always planning my next trip abroad.
