In the energy sector, I have been analysing insulating gases in switchgear for more than 30 years, initially with a focus on sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) and now with all alternative gases and gas mixtures.These can be analysed in the WIKA laboratory using gas chromatography and infrared spectroscopy to determine their main components, as well as all relevant decomposition products.In addition, I have completed training as a safety officer (BGETEM) and as a hazardous materials officer (ADR with a IHK examination), in order to get the best possible overview of the handling of various insulating gases, from analysis to transport and occupational safety, specifically for the energy sector.
