About Rolf Yngve

I am a Consultant and Mentor at The David's Harp Foundation, Inc, a non-profit organization that empowers Opportunity Youth with crucial entrepreneurship, content creation, and leadership skills through the Biz Pod Program. With 35 years on active duty in the Navy mentoring young professionals and over 15 years of experience as a novelist, essayist, and short story author, I help our youth unleash their creativity, express their voices, and pursue their passions in the $2.4 billion Creative Economy of San Diego. Before joining The David's Harp Foundation, I had a distinguished career as a naval officer, serving as the U.S. Defense and Naval Attaché in Rome, and as an associate for maritime security affairs at Booz Allen Hamilton. I have extensive knowledge and experience in political-military affairs, military planning, intelligence, and operations analysis. I am also a fellow and a scholar of several prestigious creative writing programs and institutions, and a multiple award-winning author of literary fiction and essays. I enjoy writing about complex issues with clarity and vigor, and devising systems for interagency and international cooperation. My mission is to bridge the gap between the military and the arts, and to inspire and mentor the next generation of creative leaders.
