About Roman Noack

I am the CEO and co-founder of Helrom, a pioneering rail freight and technology company based in Frankfurt, Germany. With over 20 years of experience in the transport and mobility industry, I have held key positions at DB Cargo and managed Cobra, a rail operations company in Belgium. My journey in the industry has been driven by a deep commitment to creating and delivering sustainable and efficient transportation.My background as an economist shapes my belief that a zero-emission economy requires a new approach to transport. During my time in the rail sector, I observed that no rail service and solution was appealing enough to the road transport companies to significantly shift road freight to rail. This insight, shared with my co-founder Keith Heller, who brings both North American and European expertise, led to the creation of Helrom in 2018.At Helrom, we have developed a unique system that enables seamless switching between road and rail transport without the need for capital-intensive terminals. Our innovative freight wagon technology and reliable operating model make this possible, bringing us closer to a sustainable future for transport. I have always admired the dedication of road transport companies, who are the backbone of our supply chain, ensuring continuous service.Since 2022, Swiss Life Asset Managers has joined us as an anchor investor supporting our course and strategy.
