About Roman Rotter

During the past twenty years of my IT career, I was successfully balancing between software developer and infrastructure architect role, in the past few years also in management. together with musician and other secondary interests in one person. I’m leading a small international team composed of experienced and talented.NET developers who operate within the Tietoevry SOC department. We are working on a SOC SOAR Platform, which I founded over ten years ago as a supporting stack for the Tietoevry Security Services team. Together with massive Cybersecurity area grown, we enjoyed growing our platform and evolution from supporting toolset to a mature SOAR platform with both - cloud and onprem capabilities. As our SW platform and Tietoevry Security services grow, the development team size is growing and we’ll enjoy welcoming more talented developers interested in Desktop applications (WPF), Integrations (Windows services / Linux / Docker), Data Science or Big Data areas on.NET, MS SQL, ELK stack, Apache Kafka, Apache NiFi and other platforms include web (.NET Core + React). I’m a very proactive person with a wide technical knowledge who expects from colleagues the same activity level, continuous self-education and willingness to propose solutions instead of passively awaiting for guidance. I worked with a wide range of HW platforms and specialized terminals as a HW specialist, MS stack (AD, Windows, Exchange, MS SQL) infrastructure as an Infra specialist, Security services till the Service Architect in parallel at SW development since historical Basic/Pascal/Delphi through some touch of C/C++, Java, PHP, Python to.NET platform. This experience gives me a lot of options which helps to design complex architectures. For many years I was focused to MS SQL stack development together with Windows Services, WPF and Data Science (focused on Machine Learning and text classification area). I prefer composite applications, simplicity, reusability and a high level of automation for both developers and users. Beside my professional career I work also as a Chairman of the Homeowner Association, which is very refreshing from IT duties and gives me experience in different areas.
