With over 25 years of extensive experience in Civil, Structural, and Architectural design and checking, I have been responsible for the planning, execution, and progress reporting on projects from inception to completion. Key responsibilities include leading CAD teams in preparing technical documentation and material take-offs, ensuring project coordination and quality supervision. This involves reviewing shop drawings and vendor information for accuracy and compliance, coordinating efforts to maintain consistency across offices, and providing construction support while promptly responding to site requests for information. Industry experience spans oil refining (downstream), heavy oil (upstream), natural gas processing, LNG, mining and metals, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, water treatment, offshore and marine, as well as buildings, bridges, rail, and other heavy industries. Software Proficiency: • Hexagon PPM (Process, Power & Marine): SmartPlant 3D (Smart 3D), SmartPlant P & ID, SmartPlant Review and SmartSketch including legacy design systems PDS (Plant Design System) and FrameWorks Plus • AutoCAD Suite and AEC Collection (Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, Advance Steel) • Microstation, AutoPlant, ProStructures and other Bentley Systems Tools Current duties involve creating detailed 3D models, construction drawings, and fabrication-ready designs using advanced design software. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize structural designs for manufacturability, safety, and cost-efficiency. Providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior designers, fostering skill development and maintaining high-quality deliverables. Reviewing design documentation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project timelines.
