Romy is a graduate with distinction of International Studies at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, with a HD average across all subjects. She has also carried out multiple part-time work, including volunteer ESL tutoring, and was an active committee member of the RMIT Red backs Basketball Club. She has undertaken an internship for The Australian APEC Study Center (AASC) at RMIT University in late 2019. In 2020, she taught English at a private academy in Busan, South Korea. Upon returning to Melbourne in 2020, she undertook a virtual internship in Marketing and Industry Research for the AusCham in South China. In 2021, she began her Masters in Asia and Pacific Studies at ANU, and now resides in Canberra. Romy is primarily focussed on security and peace on the Korean Peninsula, as well as foreign relations between Australia and the Asia-Pacific. She is currently undertaking Korean language at an intermediate level. Romy is an avid and active photographer, currently specialising in film photography, but wth a broader interest in photojournalism. She has won awards for her work throughout her high-school career, most notably The Pixel Prize in 2016. She has completed a short film which was accepted to be shown at the RMIT First Site Gallery in October 2019. She is also an avid contributor to the Global Studies magazine 'Here be Dragons' and the RMIT student-run newspaper 'The Swanston Gazette'.
