About Ron Bailie

Ron is a Co-Founder and Director of IBT and Principal Consultant, HCM Applications. He began his Australian IT career in 1977 and specialises in end to end large business systems ERP Implementations; HCM/Global Payroll and BPO Consulting services. In 2012, Ron completed HCM BPO Review and Payroll Vendor Review and Selection projects for a leading University. In 2013, he commenced a Test Lead Role for UNSW’s 12 month Global Payroll conversion project (PeopleSoft HCM Upgrade to v 9.2). He has also recently lead a three year support project for Wesley Mission and provides HCM advisory and support services for leading Australian law firm, Clayton Utz. For over 30 years, Ron has helped Payroll and Operations teams to: • gain a real understanding of what makes their systems slow, unreliable or unsatisfactory • move to a more sustainable and efficient system • implement optimal break/fix support processes and talent resourcing • resolve key performance and reliability challenges • deliver greater business value and agility by using more of their application's features - Oracle E Business Suite,PeopleSoft, Concept HR/ Payroll, Alesco, Chris 21 • decide if BPO is a truly optimal solution for their business and if so, which vendor would be best fit and how best to manage the relationship Ron has worked in almost every HCM functional role. His expertise includes functional and technical knowledge of several business areas in various industry sectors - HR, Benefits, Payroll, Student Administration, Financials, Distribution and Manufacturing. His core strength is in managing the implementation of core systems within large organisations - from scoping to user acceptance testing and training. His calm demeanour and experience in leading projects and participating in teams makes him an asset in any BAU or project environment.
