Bekkala | rsbekkala@gmail.com | IT Infrastructure | Virtualization | Backup | Data Protection Over the past 24 years of my career I've had to adapt to quickly merging and changing technologies often times under the challenge of slim budgets for the IT departments I've worked in. I am quick to learn by diving into whatever technology, software, or piece of hardware is put in front of me and turning that new technology into solutions utilized in production. • VMware vCenter Server/ESXi • Dell EMC Unity/Unisphere • Rubrik CDM/Secure Cloud • AWS Storage Gateway • O365 • Azure Accomplishments: Spearheaded and took the lead to manage the delivery and upgrade of the Rubrik hardware stack. This involved decommissioning old hardware, preparing new Briks and coordinating with the vendor to ensure an upgrade with minimal impact to the server teams and servers. This was accomplished all without downtime and positioned UNH/USNH to expand the hybrid datacenter to satellite datacenters. With security and reliability in mind my team and I deployed a greenfield vCenter for an active/active data center project. The creation of a new subnet, the restructuring of security permission groups, and the transfer of relevant alerts from the production environment demonstrates my ability to build a secure and efficient VMware environment, effectively manage risks, and lead complex projects.
