About Ron Cegnar

Ron spent over 30 years in key management roles in supply chains, culinary, franchising, quality assurance, equipment, and administration for McDonald's, Popeye’s, Long John Silver’s, and Burger King. Ron led the implementation of the patented McDonald's frozen French fry program and built the largest supply chain cooperative. In 1996, he was one of the founding Partners of CEO Partners, Inc. which has built and developed supply chains and cooperatives for more than 60 of the leading and largest industry restaurant chains, distributors, and food manufacturing companies and worked with A.T. Kearney on major consulting supply chain projects. The company specializes in global supply chain systems, cooperatives, brand safety, franchising, culinary development, and global sourcing. Ron has taught numerous classes on supply chain and recently completed a textbook titled “Unchained” which focuses on the fundamentals of world-class supply chain systems. The book is currently being taught in the graduate program in the Foodservice & Lodging Program at the University of Central Florida. Ron and three partners recently launched Food Supply IQ, a foodservice supply chain benchmarking application. Ron holds BS and MS degrees in Agricultural Economics from the University of Idaho and MBA from Boise State University. He graduated as a distinguished graduate from the Army’s Officer Candidate School of Engineering and served as a Military Adjutant General for the DaNang Support Command in Vietnam
