About Ron Chapple

As the VP of Global Strategic Solutions - Digital Twins at NV5 Geospatial, I work with clients around the world, and lead a team of talented professionals who acquire, process, and analyze high-resolution lidar and imaging data to create digital twins for various industries and applications. We use leading edge technologies and sensors to capture and visualize data that can enhance decision-making, risk mitigation, and user experience. I have 10+ years of experience in lidar and imaging, having founded GEO1, a company that specialized in electric utility, oil and gas, archaeology, coastal, and highway corridor acquisition projects. GEO1 was acquired by NV5 Geospatial in June 2022, and since then, we have expanded our scope and reach to new horizons, such as virtual reality, virtual production, and large scale reality capture. I am passionate about using data to tell stories and reveal insights that can make a positive impact on the world. I have been honored to work with USA Today and National Geographic on projects that have won a Pulitzer Prize and several EMMY awards. I have traveled to remote and challenging locations, such as Patagonia, the Arctic Circle, Mt. Everest, Colombia, and Hawaii, to collect and document data that can help preserve and protect our natural and cultural heritage.
