About Ron Cohen

Ron is the only RICS Registered Valuer in Israel. His firm, Ron Cohen VAS, is the only RICS regulated firm in Israel. Clients include leading international real estate services providers JLL and Cushman & Wakefield, professional services firms KPMG and PWC, on behalf of whom the firm provides valuation and investment advisory services to international institutional investors and technology multinationals investing or leasing in Israel. Prior to founding his firm, Ron served for more than a decade as District Valuer for the North and Haifa Districts at the Valuer General of Israel. His responsibilities included adjudication of valuation disputes between the Israel Land Authority and tenants of State land. Additionally, Ron was a member of the Assesments Committee of the statutory Valuation Board. The Committee oversees the professional licensing exams for Israeli valuers. Ron is an active member of the real estate valuation profession in Israel and globally. He introduced International Valuation Standards (IVS) to Israel and initiated Israel Real Estate Appraisal Association (IREAA) membership of the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC). He was a member of the IREAA Professional Committee and today is a member of the IVSC Tangible Assets Board. In 2022 Ron initiated the Israel Annual Property Index, the first commercial real estate index in the history of Israel. For his services to the profession in Israel he was awarded by IREAA in 2021 a special Certificate of Appreciation. Ron has published professional articles in the Journal of the Israel Real Estate Association and RICS Property Journal.
