About Ron Collins

My first career was as Creative Director with the multinational ad agency, J. Walter Thompson. In Australia, the USA and South East Asia, I developed creative for just about every major consumer goods and services marketer in the region. My second career was as a Freelance Consultant assisting companies looking to develop and execute a "Go To Asia" marketing/Advertising strategy. Based in Thailand, Indonesia and occasionally Singapore and Hong Kong, I took on leadership roles in industries that included film production, auto racing, water treatment, forestry, mining, oil and gas, education, processed foods and others. I returned to Australia in November of 2014 and joined The Flight Centre Travel Group as Business Development Manager in the Corporate Traveller division. In March 2017, I once again stepped outside the corporate world and have taken on marketing projects for companies based in Indonesia, Thailand and Australia. I stay relevant to the shifting technology landscape, most recently getting certified in digital marketing by GOOGLE. I have a wide range of interests including writing, travelling and current world affairs.
