Over 25 years of software architecture, development, deployment with the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory at Michigan State University (NSCL). I am the author, and primary developer of two open source software projects hosted at sourceforget.net: NSCLDAQ - The NSCL Data Acquisition system NSCLSpecTcl - A data analysis/histogramming framework for nuclear physics event EpicsTcl - A Tcl extension that makes it easy for Tcl/Tk scripts to access the EPICS control system. I also do part time consulting under the name of Ron's Data Acquisition Software. For the most part, this has involved delivering customized versions of the NSCL Data acquisition and Analysis software to various institutions educational and commercial.and governmental I am also working long-term as a consultant for the MSU Lon-Capa computer assisted education project I have done other, less esoteric jobs as well including - web based time-keeping and maintenance tracking for a tool and die shop- helping to set up and train developers in the use of the concurrent version management system (cvs)- Building client support for the Facebook REST server Specialties: C/C++, Tcl, Perl, Networking, Unix/Linux, FORTRAN, Assembler, Soft real-time system software development. Object oriented design and development. MySql, sqlite PHP, CakePHP, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, External custom applications for the IFS ERP system.
