About Ron Herzfeld

I began a multi-faceted career in the oil and gas industry in 1971, after my service as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps. My expertise includes field activities at depths from 500 to feet, including pumping, flowing, waterflood, and gas lift production operations, for both oil and gas. My experience also includes gas gathering and pipeline operations, gas compression and refining operations. My work with magnetic geophysical exploration has led to major hydrocarbon reserves in the U.S, Canada, and Australia. I have been published in the Oil and Gas Journal, World Oil Magazine, and in proceedings from major seminars within the oil and gas industry. I received my B.A. degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1968 and am an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE); American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG); Geological Society of America (GSA); and, New York Academy of Sciences (NYAS). I am the sole owner and president of Property Development Group, Inc.(PDG), an operations company for oil and gas; president of Austin Oil and Gas (AOG), a mineral and lease development and acquisition company; Partner, Tremont Oil & Gas LLC, prospect generation company (tremontog.com).
