About Ron Laform

While much of my career has been spent as a multi-certified welder, since 2007 I have worked as a multi-certified inspector and have become familiar with other phases of industrial construction. I have been responsible for taking field soil samples and determining optimum moisture content in the lab (Proctor testing), concrete field sampling and lab cylinder break testing, masonry observation, grout sampling, and testing, as well as inspection of both shop fabrication and field welding. As my reputation for industry knowledge, work ethic, and willingness to travel have grown, opportunities nationwide have presented themselves. I am interested in learning Phased Array Ultrasonic testing. My career goals include obtaing Level in multiple NDT methods. I have a demonstrated ability learn (Summa Cum Laude in college and Distinguished Gradaute at military training school) that any company should appreciate. Specialties: While certified in many aspects of construction, my primary interest is in steel and other metals. Whether in visual welding inspection or other NDE methods, steel is where the bulk of my experience and interest lies.
