About Ron Lewis

I have extensive experience with designing and implementing Cisco Voice technologies. I designed and deployed Cisco voice networks consisting of over 400 IP handsets for a private hospital and Aviation company. I have a lot of experience configuring and supporting SIP trunking with Cisco CUBE. I have deployed SIP trunking to various SIP providers such as Telstra, Optus, AAPT and Internode. I have considerable experience deploying voice applications such as Unity Connection, Instant Messaging and Presence (IM & P) and Cisco Unified Attendant Console,(CUxAC). I have designed and configured secure site to site VPNs for Health Providers using Dynamic routing protocols over Dynamic Multipoint VPN (DMVPN) I have lots of experience with Cisco routing and switching and am currently studying towards my CCIE R&S certification. I did some work for a few Real Estates and Mortgage lender providing IP Telephony services using Asterisk which is a Open source IP Telephony platform. This involved providing call centre functionality and IVR call routing. This was deployed over multiple locations with IAX and SIP trunking between locations providing free site to site calls and least cost routing capabilities.
