About Ron MacLean

I'm currently in the final semester of my Bachelors of Commerce in Natural Resources, Energy, and the Environment at the University of Alberta. I'm interested in applying my knowledge in sustainability, resource economics, environmental management law, and climate resilience initiatives to an entry level opportunity for this spring 2024. During my studies I have gained professional and volunteer experience in data collection and analysis projects, energy benchmarking and carbon reduction initiatives, social marketing, customer service, and administrative duties; including the efficient use of Microsoft and Google Workspace platforms. For the last five years I have competed as a Varsity Track and Cross-Country athlete at the U of A and the University of Regina, earning Academic All-Canadian Honours through both programs. Athletic commitments ensured proficiencies in time management, organization, and the ability to form interpersonal relationships across diverse backgrounds while representing the team in a positive and professional manner on national and international levels. For the 2023-2024 competitive season I was elected as a team captain for both the Golden Bears Track & Field and Cross Country teams.
