FIRST, the philosophy stuff…… The most important question I ask myself is, “What legacy do I want to leave?” This is most important to me because your legacy is what you leave for other people and what they gain from you. In the later stages of my career, focusing on this has improved my performance and increased my job satisfaction. I tell all my leadership team to focus on the success of your people and your boss, and your own success will be set. This philosophy along with my guarantee of honesty has helped me be successful in the past and I am certain will help me in my next career adventure. After all, when you boil things down to the most simple elements, everything is about people, whether it be a customer, a supplier, a boss, your peers, your team, and especially your family. Now for the career stuff…… I am an energetic leader with diverse experience in the specialty chemicals business. I am well versed in business management, value chain optimization, continual improvement, and developing competitive advantages with limited resources. I believe in the importance of building strategic alliances in the supply chain to ensure sustainable financial performance. I am continually looking for ways to leverage my experience and education in a way to lead my organization. After more than 30 years of experience in industry, I am equally as comfortable having a difficult conversation with a customer, negotiating a contract, or working in a manufacturing plant to solve a difficult problem. I have a unique perspective on how to optimize the customer experience while maximizing profit and driving my organization.
