As Quality Assurance (QA) officer on multiple government contracts, responsible for working with the government Quality Assurance Officer to resolve technical and programmatic issues. Reviewed hundreds of sampling and analysis plans for adherence to federal, local, and client requirements. Provided technical guidance pursuant to providing high quality work products to the client. Performed laboratory audits and principle chemistry discipline lead. Managed a Mentor-Protégé project providing technical guidance to a small disadvantaged laboratory to develop skills performing high quality work on large-scale projects. Reviewed the laboratory’s processes, techniques, and practices and recommended changes to improve quality, efficiency, and safety. Performed site audits of field mobile laboratories performing onsite analyses. Twice determined that laboratorie were performing sub-par and was able to salvage the projects. Reviewed and validated data generated by an onsite mobile laboratory to support the evaluation of EPA innovative sampling techniques. Prepared report supporting the data quality objectives of the project. Provided technical assistance for data quality issues during CERCLA closure activities at numerous Superfund sites throughout the Western United States. Reviewed analytical data from a laboratory performing analyses pursuant to remedial investigations at a Superfund site in California. Provided recommendations to EPA that led to a thorough investigation of the laboratory, which was ultimately charged with the falsification of data and two principals were indicted of fraud. Managed full service analytical laboratory and acted as the laboratory's Health and Safety Officer. Wrote the laboratory's Health and Safety Manual, Emergency Response Manual, and Chemical Hygiene Plan. Responsible for enforcing company safety policies and maintaining safe operation of the laboratory.
