I appreciate you taking the time to visit my profile. My life's journey has been a unique one where I have sought after continuous growth and personal development. I consider myself open minded and recognize everyone has a unique story. My newest mantra is " in a world where you can be anything, be kind." I love that. I have had the privilege of starting several small and medium sized businesses. I have an entrepreneurial sprit and try to always look around the corner instead of being focused on whats directly in front of me. I've learned many character building traits along the way while being confronted with challenging and difficult circumstances. Some of which have been in my control and some not. For 12 years I had the opportunity to work at a large surface mining company where we mined gold and copper. I served in a variety of laborer and leadership positions. This was my first experience in leading a unionized workforce. After leaving the mining industry, I was charged with the challenge of starting an industrial cleaning company. In a short time as the developer of the new company I was able to successfully grow the business to three offices located in three states. Seeing another opportunity to help a start up grow, I relocated to Houston,Texas and became immersed in Oil and Gas projects. Although I had been gaining exposure to project management, it was here where I was thrust into hundreds of millions of dollar global projects. As my off shore expertise began to grow so did the size of my projects and my responsibilities as a leader including global P&L responsibility. Having the desire to live and work overseas, I was given a unique opportunity to relocate to Saudi Arabia and work for a large Petro Chemical company. In this new role, I gained a new respect for people and culture. I worked in Business Development where I researched special projects and solicited investment to build third party facilities on our site utilizing our downstream products. I later was given the wonderful opportunity to advance and be the acting business manager for a large Petro Chemical refinery upgrade project. Through out my career I have enjoyed a variety of positions and skills in: Laborer, Supervisor, Managing, Leadership, Project Management, Project Life Cycles, Business Development, Manufacturing, Machining, Logistics, Six Sigma, Sales, Customer Service, Operations and Strategy, Global Team Building and Managing, Responsibility for P&L, Value in Diversity and the list can go on.
