About Rona Stein

I run the research, measurement, and evaluation efforts across the Department of Academia & Employment at aChord Center. My role is dedicated to informing and supporting our departmental goal of promoting social equality and equity through the improvement of diversity and inclusion at work. To achieve this goal, I conceptualize, plan, design, and execute primary research projects that create empirically-based insights about the socio-psychological aspects of promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace. In one line of research, I work closely with our partners and clients to align their strategic needs with our departmental expertise of producing top-notch practical know-how that elevates companies’ diversification efforts. In a second line of research, I collaborate with colleagues to craft studies that ensure the rigorous measurement and proper evaluation of the ongoing work we do with our clients. In a third line of research, I run experimental designs to determine the effectiveness of our departmental innovative interventions with partner organizations. My research training includes a master’s degree in social psychology from Bar-Ilan University and a doctorate in public policy from Tel-Aviv University. Prior to joining aChord, I held research positions at OCLC - a global provider of shared technology services to libraries, and Age Wave - a North American market research firm, focused on the aging population. Earlier in my career, I conducted post-doctoral research at the Mack Center on Nonprofit & Public Sector Management in the Human Services at the University of California at Berkeley’s School of Social Welfare and taught college classes in social psychology in two baccalaureate programs at Palo Alto University.
