About Ronald Soans

It has always been my passion to work with people and bring them together towards a common goal. I believe that creating a great environment for people brings out the best in them and can help an organization excel. Following the completion of my undergraduate degree, I briefly worked with a Cerebral Palsy research organization, where I realized my passion to work with people in a social service capacity. Thereafter, I achieved an MA in Human Resources from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences and began an HR career in India. Progressively working in HR management roles through various industries in India enabled me to develop acute skills of interpersonal relationships and to correctly assess employee attributes and behaviour in all settings. It honed my skills in evaluating delicate human resource issues and making effective decisions. After immigrating to Canada, I took on a role in sales for a nationwide company with the ultimate goal of re-establishing my career in management. Through hard work and dedication, I was able to rise within the company into an HR role at the national corporate office. From there, I progressed into a management position, with multi-faceted responsibilities including ensuring the high morale and engagement of 300+ employees. As a volunteer Chair of the Board for 8 yrs. at a prominent inner-city charitable organization, I have practiced my abilities to lead and collaborate with compassion, ensuring continued success and sustainability in a challenging environment. I have always been a positive progressive thinker with an enthusiasm that is infectious, thus mobilizing teams to achieve their goals. Outside of work, I enjoy playing instruments, singing, and recording cover music.
